On 27th October 2025, Mythri Sarva Seva Samithi (MSSS) achieved another milestone by inaugurating a modern Science Laboratory at Government High School, Sakkaregollahalli, Doddaballapura Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to promoting quality education and STEM learning among students in rural Karnataka.
The project was supported by BASF Nunhems India Pvt. Ltd. and knowledge partner STEM Learning Pvt. Ltd., who played a vital role in turning this vision into reality. The lab was installed in September 2025, with training and knowledge sessions conducted in early October, equipping both teachers and students with practical science-based learning tools.
Encouraging Scientific Learning in Rural Schools
The newly inaugurated Science Lab is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning among students. It features modern educational kits and interactive models covering key subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. These tools make science more accessible and engaging, helping students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.
The goal of the Science Lab is to spark a lifelong interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and inspire rural students to pursue higher education and careers in these fields.
A Collaborative Effort
The inauguration ceremony was a memorable event graced by Ms. Ena Hartig, Vice President – R&D, BASF Vegetable Seeds, along with dignitaries from BASF Nunhems India Pvt. Ltd., STEM Learning Pvt. Ltd., school officials, and community leaders. Their presence emphasized the importance of public–private partnerships in strengthening education infrastructure in rural India.
BASF Nunhems India Pvt. Ltd. provided the financial support and resources to bring this lab to life, while STEM Learning Pvt. Ltd. contributed their expertise and training modules to make learning engaging and impactful.
Impact and Vision
Through this initiative, Mythri Sarva Seva Samithi continues to empower rural schools by integrating practical learning with academic knowledge. The Science Lab at Government High School, Sakkaregollahalli, is expected to benefit hundreds of students every year, enhancing their understanding of scientific concepts through real-life experiments.
